A keen partaker in the IT industry for almost a decade, from humble Technical Support beginnings, through co-located and internal server back-end administration, to the present day development of standalone websites, database systems and Windows based applications for many SME and large businesses.
Mountain Biking
I particularly enjoy fast ‘single-track’ expeditions and downhill rides on my mountain bike, a full suspension ‘free-ride’ 2000 edition Marin Alpine Trail, it has successfully lasted 10 years and a good 10 – 15,000 miles of both on and off-road abuse so far! I have in that time performed a few upgrades, mainly the front suspension and drivetrain.
Basketball
I used to play Basketball a lot in college, and is something I’ve always wanted to get back into, but haven’t had the time recently.
I do still watch UK and NBA games on TV and live (mainly at the O2, London) whenever I can.
Ice Hockey
I am an avid fan of Ice Hockey, there is a team ‘local’ to me who I have watched play quite a few times. Calgary Flames is my favourite NHL team.
Kickboxing
This is something I have really enjoyed taking part in, I am only currently a White belt, but I’m currently looking for a local club to extend my knowledge and abilities.
Gadgets
I always have been, and always will be, a gadget freak. I’m not one for the “ooh look, it’s shiny!” type of gadget, its got to have some serious hardware under the cover too.
My current favourite gadget is my Windows Mobile. No other gadget has come close to it’s customisation and features so far.
Photography
Give me a camera and I’ll use my artistic eye to produce some really good shots. I get a lot of people ask me to take their portraits as well as some commissioned canvas landscape prints.
I do have a bit of a Lens Buying Addiction (LBA), and, unfortunately, its an expensive hobby!
Cars
I must admit, I have a bit of a passion for the good old motor vehicle!
I’m far from a boy racer, I keep all of my racing to track time.
Favourite car? 1970′s/80′s Aston Martin V8 Vantage Series II. A real V8 British sports car.
