Drinking? In Cowes?
Yep, it was the ‘Oktoberfest’ event in the yacht haven tonight.
Went with a few of Jen’s mates, was pretty good.
Entertainment by the Oompa band, but the most entertaining parts were from some of the others in the place.
There was Mr. ‘Push in, then bitch about it’ – While queuing for the food, this bloke decided to walk past the 15-odd people in the queue and help himself. He was confronted by a few of us, and after being heckled for a few minutes, he started bitching and moaning before saying “I can’t be bothered with all this” then went and sat down in a huff. Imagine 3 year old tantrum face. On a 50-something man.
He later came up to my girlfriend and said the most pathetic retort ever heard:
“Well you could always use my ticket to go up for seconds if you’re so bothered about it”
The fact he then sat down with his back to us for the rest of the evening put the icing on the cake!
There was also the bar staff, impressive that they’ve never pulled a full pint between them, and bearing in mind the glasses we had were 1 litre each, I don’t even think any of them have managed the pull-a-pint milestone. Thats of course, unless you count a 2 pint head on each one as a pulled pint?
I think this is an unfair comment tainted by a bitter man (see tag of ‘sad people’). Many people had a superb night and great fun and I am going again for sure.
